Subsea7 is on the lookout for a Lead Communications Strategist to enhance our team dynamics in a pivotal role.

Reporting to the Communications Manager of the Global Projects Centre East (GPC East), which encompasses our operations across various regions, the successful applicant will spearhead internal communications for the Subsea7 France office while also facilitating external communications for the Africa, Middle East, and Mediterranean regions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the development and execution of internal communications and events for Subsea7 France.
  • Actively engage in the formulation and implementation of the GPC East Communications Plan, including regional initiatives such as events, campaigns, and content creation.
  • Assist in the planning and execution of the external communication strategy for Africa, Middle East, and Mediterranean, aligning with the overarching GPC East External Communications Plan.
  • Collaborate closely with the GPC East Management Team, HR Director for France, and various departments to ensure cohesive communication efforts.
  • Serve as a brand ambassador for Subsea7, ensuring adherence to branding guidelines among internal stakeholders.
  • Integrate Subsea7's employer value proposition and culture into relevant projects and initiatives.
  • Enhance visibility of the French office's activities across all internal communication platforms and appropriate social media channels.
  • Promote GPC East projects and initiatives both internally and externally.
  • Act as the Communications Lead for Emergency Response initiatives within the French office.
  • Collaborate with internal and external communication teams on brand management and campaign strategies.
  • Serve as the primary contact for communications in France and for external communications in Africa, Middle East, and Mediterranean.
  • Propose and support the execution of regional communication campaigns to elevate the visibility of the region and Subsea7 as an employer of choice.
  • Ensure alignment of work scope with broader group internal and external communication strategies.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills in both French and English, with a proven track record in crafting compelling employee messaging.
  • Strong attention to detail, capable of producing engaging content tailored for diverse platforms.
  • Experience in utilizing data to assess current practices and inform future strategies.
  • Ability to foster positive relationships across all organizational levels.
  • Capacity to influence and promote the adoption of innovative ideas and practices.
  • Culturally aware and sensitive to international dynamics.
  • Creative and forward-thinking, with a commitment to personal and professional development.
  • Previous experience in external communications and Emergency Response is advantageous.
  • Basic to intermediate proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Premiere, InDesign, Illustrator) is preferred.
