Job Description

We are seeking a talented Senior SysOps Engineer to join our Infrastructure & Operations team at Digital Virgo. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing, deploying, and managing our cloud infrastructure to ensure high reliability, elasticity, scalability, and security.

Key Responsibilities
  • Architect and deploy cloud infrastructure using AWS services
  • Lead and coordinate a distributed SysOps team to ensure efficient management and scaling of our cloud infrastructure
  • Define standards and best practices for cloud infrastructure management
  • Collaborate with Development teams to design and manage CI/CD stacks, solution architecture, and technology choices
  • Manage the distribution of operational tasks across team members
  • Ensure high reliability, elasticity, scalability, and security of maintained platforms
  • Help prevent and investigate production issues
Requirements
  • Higher education (Master Degree) in engineering or a related field
  • 10+ years of experience in IT with multiple years of expert-level experience with AWS
  • Expert-level experience with ECS, ECR, EC2, ASG, Systems Manager, ALB, and other AWS services
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Python
  • Proficiency in IaaC (CloudFormation) and CI/CD (Git, Gitlab, Jenkins)
  • Expert-level experience with Linux (Amazon Linux or similar)
  • Proficiency in SQL and log management using Elasticsearch and fluentbit/fluentd/logstash
  • Good knowledge of distributed systems, APIs, and cloud computing patterns
  • Good knowledge of security standards and best practices, modern Authentication and Authorization methods
  • Firm grasp of TCP/IP networking and troubleshooting
