Spring Living Retirement Communities is a leading provider of senior living services, and we're seeking a dedicated and compassionate Unregulated Care Partner to join our team.
As a valued member of our team, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality care to our residents, ensuring their safety and well-being, and fostering a warm and welcoming community.
Key Responsibilities:
- Administer medication according to legislative requirements and corporate policies.
- Review residents' Support Plans and provide assistance with activities of daily living, including bathing, toileting, dressing, grooming, mobility, and continence management.
- Monitor and document residents' vitals, weights, behavior, mobility, safety, and involvement in activities.
- Escort residents to social activity programs, appointments, and dining areas.
- Promptly answer nursing call systems and assist with move-in, move-out, and transfer of residents.
- Participate in regular in-service training and continuing education programs.
- Assist with dietary needs and maintain effective communication with medical and allied team members, residents, families, and team members in other departments.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma and completion of an accredited Personal Support Worker program.
- Unregulated Administration certification or willingness to complete upon hire.
- First Aid and CPR certification, as well as experience with Unregulated administration.
- Six hundred (600) hours of related experience, including both class time and practical experience, preferably in a geriatric setting.
- Courses in gerontology, aging, or dementia are an asset.
- Effective verbal and written English communication skills required.
