Welding Technician

Position Overview:
We are currently seeking a skilled Welding Technician to join our client, a national leader in the Energy, Industry, and Construction sectors.

In this role, you will be stationed at the client's facility and will work under the guidance of a team leader. Your key responsibilities will encompass:

• Interpreting and executing instructions from technical documents
• Preparing weld edges through processes such as beveling and grinding
• Verifying the compliance of weld edge preparations
• Aligning and tacking various components
• Selecting appropriate filler materials based on technical specifications
• Setting up and maintaining the welding station
• Cleaning and finishing completed welds
• Conducting inspections of welds
• Adhering to safety protocols and personal protective equipment (PPE) guidelines

Candidate Profile:
The ideal candidate will possess formal training in welding techniques. Proficiency in TIG (141), shielded metal arc (111), and/or semi-automatic (135/136) welding is essential. You should be capable of welding in various positions on materials including carbon steel, stainless steel, copper alloys, and nickel alloys. For further details, please reach out to us.
