As a Senior Buyer in Packaging Caps & Closures, you will be responsible for sourcing and negotiating plastic and metal closures for our markets in Europe. This role involves managing timing, quality, costs, and sustainability in line with functional, business, regional, and Suntory objectives. You will drive and optimize the procurement of subcategories and build and manage a supplier panel. Your activities will be based on five key accountabilities:
Manage a budget and its cost optimization. Set budget standard prices for subcategories, monitor purchase price variances, and deliver financial targets through negotiation activities and proactive optimization projects. Drive negotiations on all terms and conditions and ensure appropriate reporting to procurement management.
Work on market insights, strategies, development, and business partnering. Develop and implement strategies for the most strategic categories, improve master strategies for other subcategories, and conduct regular follow-ups on market evolution to identify new risks and opportunities.
Ensure compliance, supplier performance, and risk management. Prepare and contribute proactively to suppliers' regular reviews, maintain risk analysis, develop framework agreements, and drive continuous improvement.
Focus on continuous improvement, innovation, and sustainability. Actively participate in the procurement, R&D, and marketing community. Define and monitor a pipeline of value optimization ideas, support the organization in progressing sustainable sourcing strategies, and engage suppliers in ESG compliance.
Drive global sourcing activities. Advise on strategy and best supplier options using market knowledge expertise.
