Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced professional to lead our Europe Transportation team, driving performance and cost efficiency in domestic and international transportation.
Main Responsibilities
- Develop and implement strategies to optimize transportation modes, reduce costs, and improve service quality.
- Manage carrier relationships, performance, and compliance with global standards and policies.
- Collaborate with the Supply Chain Purchasing team to ensure seamless transportation operations.
- Lead the Europe Transportation performance team, driving C-TPAT, network design, and rail optimization initiatives.
- Initiate and manage freight claims, and handle third-party transportation complaints as the responsible complaint manager.
- Contribute to the outbound transportation RFQ process and stay informed about industry trends and regulatory requirements.
- Work closely with Customer Care to secure on-time-in-full (OTIF) performance.
Your Qualifications and Experience
To succeed in this role, you will have a strong background in transportation, preferably with experience in developing multimodal transportation networks for sustainability purposes. You should be proficient in strategic thinking, creative problem-solving, and influencing others. The ability to build and develop a strong team is essential, as well as experience in the food, chemistry, and pharmaceutical industries, and multi-country management.
