Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Safety and Environmental Engineer to join our team at SODIAAL. As a key member of our R&D, Quality, and Regulatory teams, you will play a crucial role in deploying our Safety/Environmental roadmap.
Main Responsibilities:
1. Safety Management:
- Develop and implement safety procedures and emergency instructions to ensure a safe working environment.
- Conduct regular safety workshops and exercises to promote a safety culture within the organization.
- Present monthly safety indicators to senior management to ensure transparency and accountability.
2. Compliance and Regulatory Affairs:
- Ensure compliance with all relevant safety and environmental regulations, including onboarding new employees and managing external contractors.
- Monitor and analyze incidents to identify areas for improvement and propose corrective actions.
- Develop and implement corrective and preventive action plans to mitigate risks and ensure conformity with regulations.
3. Risk Management:
- Identify, assess, and mitigate risks associated with machine operations and other workplace hazards.
- Develop and implement risk management strategies to minimize the likelihood and impact of incidents.
Requirements:
Education: Bachelor's degree in Safety and Environmental Engineering or a related field.
Experience: Relevant experience in safety and environmental management, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial setting.
Skills:
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proficiency in MS Office and other relevant software applications.
Working Conditions:
This role may require occasional travel within France and occasional work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
