Specialized Educator Position

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Educateur Spécialisé to join our team at IRTS Nouvelle-Aquitaine. As an Educateur Spécialisé, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals with intellectual disabilities or difficulties in integration to preserve and restore their autonomy.

Key Responsibilities:

• Accompany individuals with intellectual disabilities or difficulties in integration to preserve and restore their autonomy
• Plan and implement daily activities for the community, promoting socialization and skill development
• Collect necessary information for evaluation, ensuring accurate assessments and informed decision-making
• Write comprehensive reports and analyze behavioral observations, providing valuable insights for individualized support
• Choose appropriate educational actions, tailoring support to meet the unique needs of each individual
• Organize playful and educational activities, fostering a positive and engaging learning environment
• Provide educational support in daily life activities, empowering individuals to achieve independence
• Mediate between institution, family, legal representative, and external partners, ensuring seamless communication and collaboration
• Supervise and mentor trainees, promoting professional growth and development
• Participate in institution meetings, contributing to the development of policies and procedures
• Assist individuals with medical treatments, prioritizing their physical and emotional well-being

Requirements:

• Diplôme d'état d'Educateur Spécialisé required
• Organized and attentive to individuals, with a strong focus on providing high-quality support
• Strong team player with a sense of good practices, able to work collaboratively with colleagues and stakeholders
• Holder of driver's license B, with a valid license
• Available, open-minded, and organized, with a passion for supporting individuals with intellectual disabilities
