About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Family Animator to join our team at the City of Le Havre. As a Family Animator, you will be responsible for developing and implementing programs to support families and promote parental well-being.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement programs to support families and promote parental well-being
  • Provide guidance and support to parents on parenting skills and strategies
  • Collaborate with community partners to develop and implement programs that support families
  • Conduct workshops and training sessions on parenting and family-related topics
  • Provide individual and group counseling to parents and families
  • Develop and maintain relationships with community partners and stakeholders
  • Participate in the development and implementation of the city's family support strategy

Requirements

  • Diploma in Social Work or related field
  • Permit B
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Knowledge of family dynamics and parenting issues
  • Experience working with diverse populations and communities
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively

Working Conditions

This is a full-time position, working Monday to Friday, with occasional evenings and weekends as required. The successful candidate will be required to work in a variety of settings, including community centers, schools, and other locations as needed.
