Business Context:
Within the Airline IT Offer Engineering / Pricing Optimization & Distribution (POD) division, the Airline Distribution Solutions (ADS) team is at the forefront of developing innovative solutions for airlines to market, sell, and manage their products through diverse retail networks. Our two primary offerings, NDC – "New Distribution Capability" – represent a transformative approach in the industry, led by IATA and Group Management, empowering airlines with comprehensive control over their sales processes, from individual Passenger Name Records (PNRs) to complex group bookings.
This initiative is fundamentally designed around an offer-based flow, encapsulating the core principles of Nevio evolution, which stands as the most significant airline transformation project of the decade.
In addition to creating these successful products, we play a pivotal role in the Nevio program, strategically steering the future of airline distribution for travel products.
Role Responsibilities:
This position presents a range of compelling challenges, both functional and technical:
- We manage Altea commercial workflows comprehensively, providing a holistic perspective of airline operations and facilitating collaboration across various divisions and teams.
- Our technical endeavors span a broad spectrum, from backend development (Java/C++/Quarkus) to frontend technologies (Angular), supplemented by data modules, all transitioning to Azure.
- Propose enhancements, innovations, and new methodologies in processes, workflows, operational models, and strategic plans.
- Collaborate with other software development, architecture, solutions, and QA teams to ensure software systems are designed for optimal testability, stability, scalability, and performance.
- Maintain effective communication with team members regarding organizational updates and information.
Qualifications:
- A minimum of 7 years of experience in IT, with at least 3 years in a leadership capacity.
- Strong technical background, ideally as a software developer, business analyst, or QA professional.
- Proven ability to lead a diverse international team comprising various engineering disciplines and seniority levels, from junior to expert.
- Full professional proficiency in English is required.
