Position Overview
The role of Senior Risk Management Specialist – Capital and Business Oversight is integral to the Risk and Compliance framework, focusing on the establishment and upkeep of the organization’s comprehensive risk management and governance structure.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough evaluations and provide independent insights on ICAAP deliverables, ensuring alignment with governance and capital adequacy standards.
- Engage in the integration of ICAAP/ILAAP with other strategic initiatives to meet regulatory expectations.
- Develop and refine the stress testing framework, ensuring adherence to organizational guidelines while collaborating with first-line defense teams.
- Critically assess assumptions related to stress testing scenarios to promote effective capital and liquidity management.
- Oversee the annual revision of the Stress Testing Framework, including scenario development and integrated stress testing evaluations.
- Possess in-depth knowledge of prudential regulations and translate these requirements into actionable strategies across various projects.
- Contribute to the preparation of annual and quarterly reports for supervisory management.
- Draft and implement policies related to capital and stress testing frameworks.
- Prepare analytical reports and synthesize findings for senior management and regulatory bodies.
- Lead complex projects involving diverse stakeholders, ensuring the representation of the second line of defense perspective.
Candidate Profile
- A minimum of 5-8 years of relevant experience in risk and capital management within the financial services sector.
- Proven ability to independently manage key deliverables and assess risk appetite indicators.
- Strong understanding of the regulatory landscape and risk management frameworks.
- Experience in capital management initiatives and familiarity with new regulatory frameworks is advantageous.
- Excellent communication skills, capable of conveying complex risk assessments to various stakeholders.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly in data analysis and presentation tools.
- Fluency in English is essential; knowledge of additional languages is a plus.
Preferred Qualifications
- Advanced degree in Finance, Economics, or Risk Management.
- Relevant experience in roles focusing on Capital Planning, SREP, ICAAP, and Stress Testing.
