AXA Investment Managers is seeking a highly skilled Investment Risk Analyst to join our Global Risk Management (GRM) department. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in providing independent analysis and management of investment risks across all AXA IM investment activities in France.
Key Responsibilities- Provide independent analysis and management of investment risks, including market risk, credit and counterparty risk, liquidity risk, performance risk, and pricing and valuation risk.
- Lead or support investment risk project-style activities to enhance our global risk frameworks and standards.
- Support other GRM teams in their risk analyses as needed.
- Assess new investment strategies and products from a risk standpoint, including market, credit, liquidity, and valuation risks.
- Define investment guidelines and analyze remediation plans to address potential breaches.
- Maintain a broad awareness of portfolio risk positioning using third-party risk systems and internal systems.
- Continuously assess AXA IM's risk control framework and enhance risk frameworks as needed.
- Provide regular summaries to senior management on portfolio risk positioning and risk oversight process effectiveness.
- ~5 years or more experience in risk or portfolio management functions, preferably in investment banking or asset management.
- Very good understanding of all asset classes, derivatives, and risk modeling.
- IT background with ability to construct monitoring and reporting tools using VBA, Python, Access/SQL, and experience with standard risk analysis tools.
- Knowledge of Structured Credit, Riskmetrics, and Tableau is a plus.
- Fluent English and ability to work autonomously with high levels of rigour and reliability.
