We focus on enhancing the productivity and sustainability of key crops like maize, wheat, and sorghum, particularly in developing regions. Through strong partnerships and scientific research, CIMMYT aims to improve the livelihoods of smallholder farmers and build a more efficient and resilient food system.
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented EBS-Wheat Specialist to join our Global Wheat Program team.
Your Role- Provide technical leadership for implementing EBS within wheat breeding groups.
- Collaborate with the EBS-Data Management Team to develop implementation plans and timelines.
- Support testing of new EBS functionalities and ensure data quality control.
- Contribute to building a breeding IT roadmap.
- Coordinate training sessions for GWP staff and address user feedback for system improvement.
- Ensure the availability of EBS user resources in Spanish.
- Contribute to organizing breeding data.
- Perform additional tasks as assigned.
- Knowledge of wheat breeding and EBS functionalities.
- Familiarity with IWIS and Excel macros.
- Fluency in Spanish and English.
- Strong interpersonal skills and attention to detail.
