Scope Group is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Credit Risk Analyst to join our dynamic Financial Institutions team in Europe. You will play a crucial role in assessing credit risk, monitoring existing ratings, and providing insightful analysis on a portfolio of banks and non-bank financial institutions.
As part of this role, you will collaborate closely with bank executives, regulators, investors, and journalists. Your responsibilities will encompass leading rating committee discussions, developing comprehensive rating recommendations, and publishing high-quality research reports on key credit trends affecting your coverage.
Your Responsibilities- Conduct in-depth analytical assessments of a portfolio of up to 20 banks and non-bank financial institutions across several European countries.
- Lead rating committee meetings, providing expert recommendations and ensuring the consistent application of Scope's methodologies.
- Monitor existing ratings and proactively recommend reviews and adjustments as needed, based on market developments and issuer performance.
- Serve as the primary point of contact between Scope and its clients, fostering strong relationships and providing timely communication.
- Participate in meetings with bank representatives, including senior management, to gather information and assess credit risk profiles.
- Produce insightful research reports and analytical commentaries on a variety of topics, including thematic analyses, individual issuer assessments, and market trends.
- Represent Scope's expertise to investors and other market participants through presentations and briefings, showcasing your deep understanding of the financial sector.
- Contribute to the development and refinement of Scope's credit risk analysis methodologies, ensuring their relevance and effectiveness in a dynamic market environment.
We are seeking an individual with a strong academic background in finance, economics, or a related field. Proven experience in credit risk analysis within the financial services industry is essential. Excellent analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills are crucial for success in this role.
