Job Summary:
The Senior Project Engineering Manager will be responsible for leading and managing engineering projects from initiation to completion, ensuring timely delivery, within budget, and to the required quality standards. This role requires a strong technical background, leadership skills, and effective communication to manage teams, resources, and stakeholder expectations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Project Planning and Coordination: Develop and maintain detailed project schedules, ensuring milestones and deadlines are met.
- Project Scope Definition: Define the project scope, objectives, and deliverables in collaboration with all stakeholders.
- Team Leadership and Management: Lead a multi-discipline team of engineers and technical staff, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment.
- Technical Oversight: Oversee the design and engineering processes, ensuring compliance with operational procedures and project requirements.
- Stakeholder Communication: Act as a liaison between the project team and stakeholders, ensuring seamless communication and collaboration.
- Risk Management: Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to minimize project impact.
- Budget and Cost Control: Develop and manage the project budget, ensuring costs are managed within approved budgets and opportunities for cost savings are identified.
Requirements:
- Strong technical background in engineering and project management.
- Leadership skills and experience in managing teams and resources.
- Effective communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to identify and mitigate risks.
- Strong budgeting and cost control skills.
Working Environment:
The Senior Project Engineering Manager will be located within EDF's Investment Delivery organisation and will work closely with the Altrad site manager and his team to ensure efficient and effective delivery of all work.
