RESPONSIBILITIES
The incumbent will oversee all engineering activities and technical aspects related to the flowline operations for a significant project. This role is integral to the project team, ensuring the successful execution of various phases including pre-project, FEED, and EPCI for rigid flowlines and associated structures. The Lead Engineer will guide design and engineering efforts while supporting procurement, fabrication, installation, and pre-commissioning tasks. Collaboration with the Technical Manager and other project teams is essential.
KEY ACTIVITIES
- Uphold exemplary standards in Health, Safety, Security, Environment, and Quality (H3SE&Q), ensuring compliance with all regulations and promoting safe working practices throughout the project lifecycle.
- Adhere to the company's ethical standards and promote anti-corruption measures within the project framework.
- Ensure that all engineering deliverables meet company specifications, project requirements, and international standards throughout all project phases.
- Manage all pre-project and FEED engineering tasks, ensuring timely and effective contractor engagement.
- Prepare and deliver the technical package for the flowlines Call For Tender as part of the SURF EPCI Contract.
- Evaluate technical offers from SURF tenderers, leading clarifications and ensuring compliance with project requirements.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive technical documentation related to flowlines, supporting project management documentation as necessary.
- Review and validate all relevant documentation from suppliers and contractors to ensure compliance with project standards.
- Serve as the technical point of contact for contractors regarding flowlines and associated components.
- Identify and coordinate necessary studies and tests to ensure the readiness of flowline systems.
- Oversee testing and qualification activities, ensuring proper handover of equipment to other project packages.
- Ensure compliance with technical, quality assurance, and H3SE policies throughout the project lifecycle.
- Collaborate with other project teams to address interface matters effectively.
- Participate in project reviews and provide support to the Technical Manager and Subsea Manager in various project aspects.
- Coordinate with team members to manage correspondence and contract activities throughout the project execution.
- Collect and share lessons learned to enhance future project performance.
CONTEXT & ENVIRONMENT
This role is situated within the framework of a major deep-water project, focusing on the development of offshore resources. The project team is multidisciplinary, addressing complex technical challenges while aiming to optimize economic outcomes and minimize environmental impact.
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
- Education: Master's degree in engineering with extensive experience in flowline engineering.
- Language Proficiency: Fluent in English.
- Professional Experience: Minimum of 15 years in engineering and execution phases related to flowlines in deep water.
- Project Experience: At least 10 years in large offshore oil and gas SURF projects.
- Additional Skills: Strong knowledge of relevant codes and specifications, with a proactive and collaborative approach to teamwork in a multicultural environment.
