We are seeking a skilled Truck Driver II to join our team at Progress Rail. As a key member of our logistics team, you will be responsible for safely transporting goods and materials across the country.
Key Responsibilities- Drive semi-truck mainly pulling roll-off or flatbed, ensuring timely and efficient delivery of goods.
- Secure freight to flatbed trailer with chains, binders, and straps, adhering to safety regulations.
- Plan and execute trips, utilizing maps and navigation systems to optimize routes.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections on equipment, identifying and reporting any issues.
- Complete driver's paperwork, including logs, trip reports, and DVIRs, accurately and efficiently.
- Schedule maintenance of equipment with the shop, ensuring optimal performance and safety.
- Must be at least 25 years of age.
- Must have a valid Class A CDL License with a good driving record.
- Must have at least 2 years of recent OTR verifiable tractor trailer experience (Roll-Off or Flatbed preferred).
- Compliance with state and federal DOT rules and regulations.
- Engaging personality with a stable work history.
- Ability to communicate with all levels of employees and customers.
- Attention to detail with driver's paperwork.
- Prefer a current TWIC.
- Ability to climb onto and down from the trailer.
- Possess sufficient strength to tie down a load properly.
