Summary
ADM is seeking a dedicated laborer to work as a deckhand aboard a tug boat at our American River Transportation Company (ARTCo) fleeting location in St. Louis, MO. Reporting directly to the Captain, you will play a vital role in maintaining vessel operations and ensuring smooth tow movements.
Job Responsibilities
- Maintain a clean and organized vessel by performing tasks such as washing, chipping, painting, and general cleaning.
- Contribute to efficient tow operations by assisting with line handling, securing cargo, and navigating waterways.
- Collaborate with the crew to ensure the safe and timely movement of barges and vessels.
- Adhere to all safety regulations and protocols to maintain a secure working environment.
Skills and Qualifications
- Previous experience working on tugboats or similar marine vessels is preferred.
- Strong understanding of maritime safety procedures and regulations.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Physical stamina and ability to perform demanding tasks in various weather conditions.
