Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Screening Scientist to lead our drug discovery projects by identifying and characterizing bioactive molecules as starting points for new therapeutic solutions.
About the Role:
As a Screening Scientist, you will be responsible for:
- Leading early drug discovery activities within therapeutic project teams
- Contributing to the definition of strategic lines of the department and execution of tactics
- Leading a screening team and being accountable for its contributions to the advancement of therapeutic projects
- Establishing hit identification and triaging strategies
- Selecting assays to identify and characterize bioactive molecules
- Working closely with colleagues to produce and validate molecular and cellular tools needed to develop assays
- Developing, optimizing, industrializing, and validating assays
- Working closely with other teams to select hits for progression
- Ensuring correct writing of assay protocols and data integrity good practices
About You:
We are looking for a candidate with a PhD in Life Sciences and expertise in:
- Biological assay development, screening, and profiling
- Chemical assay development and mechanistic enzymology
- Management of projects and people
- HTS data mining and visualization
Requirements:
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A PhD in Life Sciences
- Significant post-doctoral experience in biological research, particularly in drug discovery methodologies and screening campaigns
- Familiarity with miniaturization and automation of biological assays for HTS
- Fluent in English (C1)
