Why Your Role is Essential:
As a Security Operations Manager within our Product Security division, you will spearhead initiatives to integrate security practices within our DevOps methodologies, collaborating closely with development, operations, and security teams to guarantee secure and reliable software delivery.
With a solid foundation in DevOps and Security, along with a proven history of team management, you will be tasked with strategizing the incorporation of security into the software development lifecycle.
Your Responsibilities:
- Lead and mentor a team of Security Operations engineers and specialists, providing direction and nurturing a culture of ongoing improvement and teamwork.
- Supervise the integration of security practices into the DevOps workflow, ensuring that security is an integral component of the development process.
- Propel the creation and execution of automated security tools and processes to ensure continuous security validation.
- Collaborate with DevOps and Engineering teams to design, implement, and manage secure CI/CD workflows.
- Formulate and enforce security policies, standards, and best practices across development and operations teams.
- Work closely with the Product Security leader to align Security Operations initiatives with the overarching product security strategy.
- Advocate for the continuous enhancement of Security Operations practices, processes, and tools.
- Provide regular updates on the status of Security Operations initiatives, roadmap, milestones, and accomplishments to the Product Security leadership.
To Excel in This Role, You Will Need:
- Over 10 years of experience in DevOps, Security Engineering, or related fields, with a minimum of 3 years in a leadership capacity.
- A technical background in security technologies, including familiarity with Security Operations practices.
- Proficiency in security testing tools (e.g., Burpsuite, OWASP Zap, Nmap).
- Knowledge of Platform or Application Engineering and Operational Knowledge in various CI/CD Tooling Technologies (JIRA, ADO, Jenkins, Github).
- Proven experience with Cloud deployments (AWS/Azure/Docker/Kubernetes).
- Familiarity with one or more Infrastructure as Code (IAC) Tools (Chef, Ansible, Terraform, ksh Shell, groovy).
- Strong scripting (e.g., Bash & Python) and automation capabilities.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Outstanding communication abilities, both written and verbal.
- Strong organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in threat modeling and risk assessment methodologies.
- Understanding of secure coding practices and code review procedures.
