Technical Accounting Expert - All Genders

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Technical Accounting Expert to join our team at Evotec WD. As a key member of our Global Accounting team, you will be responsible for analyzing complex accounting topics, providing technical accounting guidance, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Analysis of technical accounting topics, complex transactions, and contracts
  • Answer technical accounting questions to various stakeholders
  • Monitoring of accounting and reporting updates and implementation of new standards and regulations
  • Preparation and update of the Group's Accounting Policies
  • Monitoring and enforcement of the Policies within the Group
  • Preparation of internal training materials
  • Participation in the external reporting process and ensuring compliance with the regulator's guidelines

Requirements:

  • Minimum 6 years of experience in an IFRS context (Big four or Listed Company)
  • Ability to interact with various stakeholders, breakdown complex accounting issues, explain and present them to management
  • Experience of working in an international environment, ideally in Pharma/Biotech
  • Experience with PCAOB Audits and SOx
  • Fluent in English with excellent verbal and written communication skills; German, Italian, or another European language is a plus
