The primary responsibility of the Credit Risk Solutions Expert is to assist Sales Specialists in maximizing and utilizing SPGMI's capabilities by providing extensive knowledge of credit solutions, including our quantitative market signal models and fundamentals-based models (PDs and LGDs), as well as qualitative credit assessment scorecards, research, and data to aid our clients in navigating intricate credit risk management challenges. The C&RS business plays a vital role in the overall expansion of the Market Intelligence (MI) Division. The suite of products is essential to this growth narrative, serving as the distribution channel for proprietary Ratings content and offering models and workflow tools that support the Credit Workflow for rated and unrated borrowers, counterparties, customers, and suppliers. The position of the Credit Risk Solutions Expert is crucial to the success of the business. In an increasingly intricate and competitive landscape, credit products cannot be effectively marketed without the expertise of the Credit Risk Solutions Expert. These experts lend credibility and knowledge to the sales and retention processes, making the role highly impactful and visible, while also requiring collaboration with numerous internal stakeholders. Responsibilities:
- Cultivates relationships with Sales Specialists and Product Managers to assist in diagnosing, refining, designing, and delivering credit workflow solutions tailored to the European market.
- Aligns with Commercial and Product strategies for credit offerings and implements comprehensive pre-sales and post-sales execution plans.
- Acts as a subject matter expert in credit products across various functional teams.
- Exhibits excellence in SPGMI's credit capabilities.
- Aids clients in establishing robust frameworks for incorporating ESG factors into their Credit Assessment processes and comprehending the potential effects of ESG on their credit portfolios.
- Develops campaigns and initiatives aimed at driving revenue growth for specific market segments and supports client retention efforts related to credit products.
- Maintains strong connections with strategic credit customers in the market.
- Collaborates internally to design and deliver training on relevant credit products.
- Engages in thought leadership, speaking at pertinent conferences and SPGMI credit webinars.
- Maintains a keen awareness of competitors and their relative strengths.
- Conducts Proof of Concepts, assists in RFPs, and develops test cases for regulatory requirements such as IFRS9.
- Profound understanding of credit risk management.
- Comprehensive knowledge of complex client credit risk workflows, ideally across multiple sectors (Corporates, Commercial and Investment Banking, Insurance, and Investment Management).
- Ability to interact confidently with team members, prospects, and clients, as well as cross-functional teams within the organization, including Product Management, Education, Legal, and Marketing.
- Capacity to solve intricate problems and, when necessary, adopt new perspectives using expert judgment.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
- Self-driven, with a strong desire to achieve and a positive outlook.
- Ability to thrive under pressure and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- 5+ years of relevant industry experience in credit and risk management.
- Proficiency in Excel and credit modeling capabilities.
- Fluency in the German language is essential.
