Job Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate 1st Grade Teacher to join our team at Bethune Elementary School. As a member of our staff, you will play a vital role in shaping the educational experience of our students and contributing to the success of our school community.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that cater to the diverse needs and abilities of your students.
  • Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback to support their growth and development.
  • Maintain a safe and inclusive learning environment that promotes social, emotional, and academic well-being.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices, resources, and expertise, and to support the development of a cohesive and effective teaching team.
  • Stay up-to-date with curriculum developments, educational research, and best practices in teaching and learning.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education or a related field.
  • Valid Missouri Teaching Certification.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment and to adapt to changing circumstances.

Working Conditions:

This is a full-time position, working 36 hours and 40 minutes per week, with a 190-day work calendar. Compensation and benefits are provided by the Phoenix Elementary School District #1.
