About the Department
The Multi-Physics for Energy Department conducts research and studies for the benefit of industrial and state services in the aeronautical field, both civil and military. Our activities are structured around six strategic axes: Innovative Energy Systems, Propulsion System Performance, Representative Condition Experimentation, Multi-Physics Simulation and Modeling, Environmental Impact and Safety, and Multi-Physics Software Platforms.
Job Description
We are seeking a Technician for Emissions Measurement to join our team at the CMEI (Chemistry of Energy Materials, Emissions, and Environmental Impact) unit. As a member of our team, you will contribute to the study of emissions from propulsion systems, working closely with industry partners and other ONERA departments. Your primary responsibilities will include:
- Participating in measurement campaigns, including preparation and execution, at our laboratories and test facilities in France and abroad;
- Developing particle generation devices to study the impact of particle composition on measurement signals;
- Ensuring the calibration, validation, and operational readiness of measurement equipment;
- Providing initial analysis of raw data;
- Contributing to the life of the CESAR laboratory and participating in activities related to safety and quality.
This role will involve working on projects in partnership with European consortia (Horizon Europe, Clean Aviation), national agencies (DGAC, DGA), and industry partners (SAFRAN, AIRBUS). You will be required to obtain a Defense National Authorization.
Requirements
We are looking for a candidate with a BTS or BUT degree in a field related to physico-chemical measurements, particularly aerosols, and aeronautics. You should have knowledge of metrology (gases, aerosols) and mechanical skills (assembly, technical drawing). Teamwork and English language skills are essential.
