Electrical Engineer

As an Electrical Engineer, you will be part of our SOM Paris agency in Montigny-Le-Bretonneux (78) and will join our team in the client's premises in Cherbourg (50). In the context of a major project, you will conduct studies on electrical engineering tasks, including:

  • High voltage distribution installations, such as THT, HT, BT, or TBT.

  • Low voltage installations, such as fire detection, alarm systems, physical protection of people and equipment, general call, lightning protection, CEM, intercom, telephone, etc.

  • Design and dimensioning of installations with the optimal technical solution meeting various requirements.

  • Preparing technical documents (calculation notes, power balance, single-line diagrams, network architecture definition, electrical equipment characterization).

  • Preparing tender documents and analyzing supplier offers.

  • Validating and following up on supplier detail studies.

  • Acting as the technical focal point for electrical engineering for the project.

  • Respecting quality, cost, and deadline standards for technical documents produced.

Profile

We are looking for an experienced and motivated Electrical Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate should possess the following skills and experience:

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or equivalent.

  • Significant experience in electrical engineering, particularly in the design and implementation of high and low voltage installations.

  • Experience in preparing technical documents and tender documents.

  • Experience in analyzing supplier offers and following up on detail studies.

Technical Skills

  • Knowledge of applicable electrical engineering standards and regulations.

  • In-depth knowledge of high voltage distribution installations (THT, HT, BT, TBT) and low voltage installations (fire detection, alarm systems, physical protection, general call, lightning protection, CEM, intercom, telephone, etc.).
