Key Responsibilities:
- Offer legal guidance on matters related to financial sustainability, including investments and commercial agreements.
- Draft and facilitate the negotiation of contracts such as share purchase agreements, service agreements, and terms and conditions for both business-to-business and business-to-consumer transactions.
- Oversee the interpretation, implementation, and performance of contracts within the realm of commercial and corporate law across the EU.
- Assist in the development and upkeep of a comprehensive database of contractual obligations and legal commitments.
- Support various departments with financial sustainability concerns, including reviewing legal aspects of funding principles related to financial sustainability and educational initiatives.
- Contribute to the execution of additional tasks as assigned by the Legal Manager within the legal team's scope of responsibilities.
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate for the Corporate Counsel - Commercial and Investment Law position should possess a minimum of a master's degree in law and demonstrate proficiency in English. Strong analytical skills and the capability to devise solutions for complex legal challenges are essential. Excellent verbal and written communication abilities are required.
Experience in investments and commercial services is mandatory, along with expertise in providing legal advice on share acquisition agreements, including SAFE agreements and other investment contracts. Proficiency in drafting and reviewing commercial and service contracts, with a solid understanding of commercial and corporate law within the EU, is expected.
Experience with EU-funded projects is advantageous. Admission to a European Bar Association is considered a plus. Proficiency in French is also desired.
