Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Applications Engineer to join our team in Paris. As a key member of our professional services team, you will be responsible for providing technical pre-sales and applications support to our clients in the Defence and Automotive sectors.
Key Responsibilities:
- Engage in complex technical discussions with customers to understand their needs and determine the most suitable solutions.
- Liaise closely with product development to solve complex pre-sales customer questions.
- Work closely with customers to define initial requirements for tailored solutions or services.
- Stay up-to-date with developments in GNSS technologies, market trends, and test methodologies.
- Support Business Development Managers on various activities across EMEA, driving urgent business unit actions as required.
- Identify new customer requirements and communicate these requirements/feature requests to Business Development Managers.
- Collaborate with the Sales Enablement team to generate application-specific materials and competitive analysis reports.
- Grow relationships with customers in the Defence and Automotive markets.
- Document key processes and technical requirements throughout the entire cycle.
- Contribute to the overall improvement of the Professional Services team by sharing learnings, best practices, and customer success stories.
- Present recent projects to other regional sales teams to facilitate proactive approaches for similar projects.
- Provide feedback on product, solution, and process improvements as needed.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent work-related experience.
- Significant industry experience with PNT/GNSS or similar wireless technologies, including test methodology and analysis skills.
- Ability to explain and present technical solutions and their benefits.
- Experience with compiling technical reports.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office products.
- Valid driver's license with a solid driving record.
- Detail-oriented with effective time management skills.
- Experience in a customer-facing role.
- Experience with GNSS simulation equipment and/or GNSS receivers is a plus.
- Experience with other sensors such as IMU is a plus.
- Knowledge of jamming and spoofing is a plus.
- Experience with communication protocols, e.g., USB, Ethernet, RS-232, and receiver know-how is a plus.
- Worked as part of a team to deliver complex projects and outcomes.
- Excellent English verbal and written communication skills; second language proficiency is a plus.
- Scripting/programming knowledge, preferably with Python/C++ and MatLab, is a plus.
