As a DevOps Engineer at Ansys, you will play a crucial part in supporting the development of our software products, processes, and supporting systems. Our team of expert professionals collaborates to accomplish development objectives and oversee software releases.
Key Responsibilities
Our ideal candidate will perform basic DevOps activities, including maintenance, monitoring, documenting, and testing of product builds and packaging to ensure quality production builds. This includes managing and optimizing builds using the Conan package manager, ensuring efficient handling of dependencies for open-source software projects. Additionally, the successful candidate will support and contribute to the automation of build pipelines, with experience in Azure DevOps preferred but not required. They will work closely with Business Units (BUs) to adjust builds and packaging according to changing requirements. The ideal candidate will also ensure builds are consistent across different operating systems.
Requirements and Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will need a BS in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field. Experience with build management and continuous integration software is essential, as well as knowledge of Windows and/or Linux operating systems. Additionally, experience with Python or any object-oriented programming language is a must. Familiarity with C++ compilation processes and YAML files is a plus, though not required. The ideal candidate will have good communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to learn quickly and collaborate with others in a geographically distributed team.
