  • Provide direct leadership and guidance for daily culinary functions
  • Deliver culinary knowledge, training, and operational assistance to kitchen personnel
  • Oversee food budgeting and strive to reduce labor expenses
  • Surpass standards for food quality, service presentation, and health and safety
  • Foster collaborative relationships with site management and support teams
  • Adhere to the organization's core values and ethical standards
  • Fulfill assigned responsibilities

Required Qualifications:

  • Completion of a Food Services Supervisor course or equivalent
  • Certification in Food Safety/Food Handling
  • Red Seal designation is an asset
  • Smart Serve Certification
  • Understanding of government regulations
  • Experience in a unionized setting
  • Proficient computer and leadership abilities
  • Capability to analyze and resolve issues
  • Experience in the retirement sector is advantageous
