Key Responsibilities:
- Work in conjunction with executive and national culinary leaders to execute culinary strategic initiatives
- Create seasonal menus that reflect resident preferences while ensuring adherence to relevant regulations
- Provide direct leadership and guidance for daily culinary functions
- Deliver culinary knowledge, training, and operational assistance to kitchen personnel
- Oversee food budgeting and strive to reduce labor expenses
- Surpass standards for food quality, service presentation, and health and safety
- Foster collaborative relationships with site management and support teams
- Adhere to the organization's core values and ethical standards
- Fulfill assigned responsibilities
Required Qualifications:
- Completion of a Food Services Supervisor course or equivalent
- Certification in Food Safety/Food Handling
- Red Seal designation is an asset
- Smart Serve Certification
- Understanding of government regulations
- Experience in a unionized setting
- Proficient computer and leadership abilities
- Capability to analyze and resolve issues
- Experience in the retirement sector is advantageous
