Lead the Consolidation Department at Penta

We are seeking a seasoned Consolidation Manager to spearhead the creation of our consolidation department. As a key member of our finance team, you will be responsible for overseeing the consolidation process, ensuring accuracy and compliance with IFRS and French GAAP.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Internalize Qonto IFRS consolidation, currently managed by our external provider
  • Implement the quarterly Qonto IFRS consolidation, including scope changes, intercompany reconciliation, cash flow statement, equity, OCI, and IFRS entries
  • Define the closing calendar and instructions, and share them with the Accounting and FP&A teams
  • Produce the Qonto IFRS consolidated financial statements, including disclosures
  • Coordinate the audit of the IFRS consolidated financial statements
  • Monitor IFRS accounting regulations for Qonto, foreseeing impacts on budgeting and long-term plans, particularly IFRS 9
  • Support the finance teams in understanding and implementing IFRS standards
  • Implement and maintain the accounting group standard manual
  • Realize the annual impairment test (Goodwill)
  • Lead the integration of future M&A targets into our consolidation practices, ensuring alignment with IFRS and French GAAP
  • Participate in the foreseeing impact of any operational development, such as new features or product launches
  • Participate in the implementation of a new ERP

About You:
  • Experience in financial consolidation within a listed company or large family group
  • Proficiency in IFRS & French GAAP, with a solid background in audit and financial reporting
  • Demonstrated ability to build or significantly contribute to a consolidation department
  • Excellent communication skills, able to articulate complex concepts in simple terms
  • Proactive and autonomous, with a knack for problem-solving and cross-departmental collaboration
  • Fluent in both French and English
