Context:
The mission of our Technology and Technical Support Business Division is to deliver sustainable and efficient technology/process solutions, catalysts, and services to our clients across various sectors. This encompasses oil and biomass hydroprocessing, petrochemical production, gas and water treatment, and CO2 capture.
The T&TS division plays a crucial role in maintaining the performance of Axens' customer units and ensuring competitiveness in a rapidly evolving energy landscape.
As a Renewables Technology Specialist, you will provide essential technical support for sales, collaborate with clients to enhance their performance, and manage R&D initiatives to secure long-term competitiveness.
Key Responsibilities:
As a vital member of the Renewables Product Line Technology team, reporting to the Renewables to Liquids Product Line Manager, your responsibilities will include:
- Crafting technical proposals in response to tenders for new or upgraded units and specific catalyst replacement technologies, determining performance metrics, catalyst quantities, operational conditions, and cycle times. You will also conduct preliminary equipment sizing and calculate investment and operational costs.
- Offering technical support to Regional Sales Managers to effectively present our proposals to clients.
- Engaging in the collection, synthesis, and analysis of knowledge related to our processes and catalysts, including feedback from operational units, in collaboration with Technical Assistance teams.
- Assisting in the development or enhancement of marketing messages associated with our technologies.
- Contributing to the evolution of our Business Group's offerings by suggesting improvements.
- Promoting Axens' renewable solutions at industry events, including conferences and seminars.
Travel Requirements:
Short-term travel may be necessary for this role.
Required Qualifications:
- A degree in chemical engineering with 10 to 15 years of experience in the energy sector, particularly in engineering departments, technical bid management, process studies, or operations.
- A strong interest in project development phases and collaboration with R&D teams.
- Proven experience in drafting bids or conducting technical-economic studies is advantageous.
- Proficiency in English is essential; a good command of French is appreciated.
