We are seeking a Cloud Solutions Architect to guide the strategic initiatives for cloud infrastructure, enhance operational delivery, and elevate service quality for over 600 global clients across various sectors, including Luxury Apparel, Outdoor Sports, Footwear, Cosmetics, and Food and Beverage. This role involves leveraging an innovative approach to product lifecycle management. The ideal candidate will lead multiple teams of skilled cloud engineers who are dedicated to delivering exceptional customer experiences.

This role will report directly to the Director of Cloud Services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess clients' cloud environments, line of business applications, IT and business priorities, and success metrics to architect implementation strategies and cloud-native solutions.
  • Collaborate with network, security, and application architects, as well as subject matter experts, to create enterprise-level solutions.
  • Innovate solutions for intricate business and technology challenges.
  • Draft technical strategies for migration, multi-account multi-region deployments, modern architecture, and control tower implementations.
  • Stay informed about market trends and competitive insights while maintaining technical proficiency.
  • Design hybrid connectivity and networking frameworks for clients transitioning to AWS.
  • Promote new features and solutions to enhance operational efficiency and reduce costs.
  • Drive architectural decisions through the lens of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and automation.
  • Build strong relationships with key customer IT decision-makers.
  • Define long-term cloud strategies and enhancement roadmaps.
  • Create test plans and cases to validate application/database readiness post-migration or greenfield deployment.
  • Work closely with application teams to ensure business functionality and service level agreements are fulfilled.
  • Consult on optimal environment designs, analyze complex distributed production deployments, and provide recommendations for performance optimization.
  • Serve as a subject-matter expert on GCP or AWS and assist in RFP activities.
  • Own all private and public cloud-based hosting solutions as a Cloud Engineering SME.
  • Drive continuous improvement by leading oneself, clients, and teams with a passion for modern digital trends and advanced technologies.
  • Enhance and uphold cloud engineering best practices and guidelines.
  • Manage budgets, resources, and strategic expenditures to ensure effective, efficient, and predictable operations.
  • Provide strong leadership and mentorship, fostering professional and personal development for team members.

Essential Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Science, Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, MCA, or a related discipline.
  • A minimum of 12 years of experience in architecture, DevOps, and cloud operations roles within a software or services organization.
  • Expertise in GCP or AWS, covering Network & Security, Compute & Storage, Backup & DR, Monitoring, Governance & Cost Management, migration, and DevOps.
  • Extensive experience in migration projects and familiarity with migration tools (both native and third-party) such as Cloud Endure and MGN.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across internal and external organizations.
  • Proficiency in infrastructure automation through DevOps scripting (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation).
  • Experience with configuration management using Ansible and/or Chef/Puppet, Shell, and PowerShell.
  • Hands-on experience with primary cloud services in GCP (GCE, GPD, API Gateway, Route53) or AWS (EC2, ELB, ECS, RDS, Lambda, API Gateway, Route53 & S3).
  • Strong architectural knowledge to design and build cloud-native solutions and integrate third-party tools for customer delivery/cloud estate.
  • Experience with PaaS services such as RDS, Lambda, API Gateway, Redshift, Glue, etc.
  • Proven ability to establish deep technical relationships with senior IT executives and expand data services in large or strategically important accounts.
  • Demonstrated adaptability to new technologies and quick learning capabilities.
  • Track record of collaborative decision-making.
  • Ability to resolve conflicts and ensure follow-through with exceptional communication skills.
  • Strong presentation skills with comfort addressing both large and small audiences (senior executives, IT management, and developers).

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Expertise in containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Python.
  • Knowledge of data analysis pipelines (Glue, EMR, Redshift, DMS, Kinesis).

Required Certifications:

  • AWS Certified Solutions Architect–Professional, GCP Professional Cloud Architect, or Azure Solutions Architect Expert certification.
