Role Overview

The Pipeline Engineering Supervisor will oversee all facets of rigid pipeline engineering within the context of projects or tenders. This role entails managing engineering contributions related to fabrication and installation, ensuring optimal performance of the rigid pipeline subsystem.

Key Responsibilities

  • Advise on the selection of the most efficient pipeline system solutions for tenders and projects.
  • Ensure that all mechanical design elements of the pipeline subsystem are optimized and effectively communicated to support installation and fabrication strategies.
  • Calculate dimensions for rigid pipeline solutions and provide input for Material Take-Off (MTO).
  • Guarantee a robust design for in-service applications.
  • Provide necessary engineering support for the procurement and fabrication of rigid pipeline components.
  • Coordinate technical assistance for rigid-related equipment as procured by the project.
  • Support safe and efficient offshore deployment of rigid pipeline products.
  • Engage with clients and Independent Verification Bodies (IVBs) on all engineering matters related to rigid pipelines.
  • Oversee engineering activities, ensuring quality deliverables and adherence to schedules.

During project execution, the Pipeline Engineering Supervisor will be accountable for the comprehensive design and engineering of the rigid pipeline subsystem, including installation engineering.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess a degree in a relevant engineering discipline such as Mechanical, Naval, or Civil Engineering, with a strong understanding of materials.

Experience and knowledge in the following areas are essential:

  • Application of engineering principles to address various pipeline design challenges.
  • Proficiency in pipeline mechanical design and in-service behavior.
  • Effective schedule management and resource planning.
  • Experience with Reel-lay, S-lay, and/or J-lay methodologies.
  • Strong communication skills with clients and stakeholders.
  • Ability to adapt to changing circumstances while maintaining budget control.
