ENVIRONMENT

The Public Cloud Management division within Group IT has been established to enhance cloud adoption and streamline processes to facilitate AXA's digital transformation. This initiative is designed to empower AXA entities to swiftly create comprehensive solutions by providing services that align closely with business requirements.

To expedite Time to Market, ensure governance of Cloud utilization, maintain robust security and compliance, and optimize resource consumption, the Public Cloud Management team operates an AZURE Competency Center. This center collaborates with AXA Entities to define the foundational technologies, tools, and processes for the AZURE environment.

The central team of the Public Cloud Business Unit, known as the AZURE Competency Center, has the following key responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the Technology Office to establish strategies, architectures, and roadmaps for AZURE services.
  • Engage with Security, Compliance & Audit teams to integrate their requirements into the AXA AZURE Foundation.
  • Define and advocate for best practices surrounding AZURE services.
  • Assist in the implementation of new projects, including onboarding new AXA entities onto existing or new platforms.
  • Provide level 3 technical support for AZURE services (including Organizations, Foundation, Subscriptions, Blueprints, Policies, etc.).

AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY

Collaborate with AXA Entities to identify the necessary AZURE services that enable business applications and data within the AZURE cloud. Ensure adherence to best practices regarding architecture, security, and integration with the existing AXA ecosystem. Contribute to the onboarding of projects into AZURE by leveraging the extensive services and capabilities of the AZURE Competency Center.

Success will be measured by:

  • Supporting business development initiatives by showcasing the capabilities and advantages of the AZURE Competency Center through presentations and demonstrations.
  • Contributing to the development of the AZURE Foundation (AXA Azure Landing Zone).
  • Providing expertise for transversal projects and programs requiring Azure knowledge.
  • Ensuring timely and efficient level 3 support and lifecycle services.
  • Maintaining a strong focus on security throughout product and asset development.

KEY MISSIONS

Be recognized as a subject matter expert in solution engineering, service configuration, optimization, and the overall implementation of AZURE services. Collaborate with operational and project teams to design and deliver AZURE services on schedule. Contribute to short-term expert missions regarding Azure at AXA. Provide tier 3 support to AXA Tech teams for daily support issues, troubleshooting, and scheduled maintenance as necessary.

YOUR PROFILE

Expertise in Microsoft Azure cloud technologies, including:

  • AZURE Accounts Organization
  • Networking (Private Link, Direct Connect, etc.)
  • Security (IAM, WAF, etc.)
  • Storage (Azure Storage, Blob, etc.)
  • Database (CosmosDB, Azure SQL, etc.)
  • Application services (Web App, Functions, etc.)
  • Familiarity with container technologies (Kubernetes, Docker)

Experience in supporting third-party application environments, large heterogeneous server infrastructures, and Cloud Services, particularly AZURE. Proficient in Application Lifecycle Management, hands-on experience with Terraform (Infrastructure as Code), and open programming skills. Knowledge of DevOps and Agile methodologies, security principles, and business acumen is essential.

DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS

Experience in solution architecture (disaster recovery, high availability), service management knowledge, and familiarity with the SAFe Framework (Agile at scale) are advantageous.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

A degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field is required, along with a minimum of 3 years of experience in Cloud technologies, specifically AZURE services. The ability to support mission-critical, highly available, and high-volume operational environments is crucial.

Strong verbal and written communication skills in English are necessary, along with the ability to work in an international context with remote teams within a matrix organization. Candidates should be capable of working collaboratively as well as independently, interacting with clients regularly, and engaging in pre-sales activities. A commitment to occasional on-call duties and international travel (Europe, US & Asia) to support new projects is expected.
