Private Equity Investing Associate

At Goldman Sachs, we are committed to helping our clients, shareholders, and communities grow. As a Private Equity Investing Associate, you will be part of a talented team of investment professionals responsible for the acquisition and management of investments.
Responsibilities- Review and analyze potential investment opportunities with a focus on French markets, developing and promoting investment theses, and working as part of an international team of professionals across Europe and Global offices.
- Based in Paris, with frequent travel to identify and source opportunities, build relationships with key stakeholders, and manage team members across workstreams.
- Play an active role in structuring, negotiating, and documenting investments, with a key role in managing internal and external stakeholders.
- Support and participate in the monitoring of new and existing portfolio investments, creating trustful and solid relationships with management teams and partners at portfolio companies.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent qualification and an excellent academic and professional record.
- Minimum of 3 years' full-time experience in a buy-side role, with specific coverage on France or within the French Private Equity industry.
- Experience managing team members and external advisors across deal life cycles and platform building.
- Strong financial analysis and modelling experience, with analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to adapt quickly to a variety of industries and businesses, self-direct, analyze, and promote independent investment judgments.
- Ability to interact and build relationships with a wide range of people across different locations, work effectively in a fast-paced environment, and keen to take on responsibility.
- Open, flexible, positive, and proactive attitude, with detail orientation and high motivation to contribute to the team's success.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with French and English as a requirement, and other European language skills a plus.
- Flexibility for frequent travel outside of Paris.
