About the Role:

The Ville de Gonesse is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Social Animator to join our team. As a key member of our community engagement team, you will be responsible for creating and implementing social activities that foster a sense of community and belonging among residents of our inclusive living project.

Key Responsibilities:

• Sustain a vibrant social environment and combat isolation among residents
• Develop and implement a community engagement strategy to promote a sense of belonging and social cohesion
• Identify the needs and expectations of residents and leverage local resources to meet those needs
• Build and maintain relationships with local partners and stakeholders
• Promote resident inclusion and provide support as a resource person

Key Challenges:

• Encourage residents to participate in community activities and events
• Develop and maintain a network of local partners and stakeholders
• Address potential conflicts and issues that may arise in the community

Requirements:

• Diploma in a relevant field (e.g. social work, community development)
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Permit B required

Desirable Qualities:

• Autonomy and ability to work independently
• Knowledge of community development principles and practices
• Ability to work with diverse populations and communities
