Job DescriptionData Infrastructure Design and Optimization

We're seeking a highly skilled Data Infrastructure Design and Optimization Specialist to lead the design, implementation, and optimization of our data architectures. As a key member of our data team, you'll ensure the scalability, security, and performance of our data infrastructure, collaborating with software and data scientists to integrate AI-driven models into data workflows.

Leadership and Team Management

You'll manage and mentor a team of data engineers, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and overseeing project execution and delegation of responsibilities within the team. Your technical expertise will guide technical decisions and promote best practices in data engineering.

Collaboration and Cross-Functional Engagement

As a key liaison between data teams and product managers, developers, and analytics teams, you'll work closely to define data needs and ensure alignment with business objectives. Your expertise will ensure the data team supports the product's analytical capabilities.

Innovation and Problem Solving

You'll identify opportunities to leverage new technologies or improve existing workflows to optimize data processing, maintaining a deep understanding of data trends and emerging technologies.

Requirements
  • Proficiency in distributed data systems
  • Strong understanding of materialized views concepts
  • Skilled in designing table sorting keys
  • Solid programming skills in Python, Java, or Scala
  • Expertise in database technologies (SQL, NoSQL)
Leadership Skills
  • Proven experience leading data teams in fast-paced environments
  • Ability to mentor junior engineers and foster a culture of growth and collaboration
Analytical Mindset
  • Data-driven decision-making abilities aligned with Sparteo's focus on results and improvement
