Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Train Design Engineer to join our Train Design department (Mechanical). As a key player in a project, you will be in contact with a wide range of professions.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate and execute Train Design activities in accordance with technical requirements, customer specifications, budgets, and schedules.
- Lead the coordination of the various trades: interior design, cab, body structure, integration of mechanical equipment.
- Define the architecture of the train sets: seating arrangements, equipment layout.
- Ensure the resolution of mechanical integration problems.
- Ensure the follow-up of the studies of the transverse disciplines such as the gauge, the acoustics, the eco-design, the ergonomics, the aerodynamics, etc...
- Establish validation and certification plans in collaboration with the Validation department.
- Support the Sourcing, Industrialization, and Production teams during the product development phase.
Requirements
- 3-4 years of experience as a Mechanical Engineer in the railway sector.
- Good communication skills, sense of priorities, and structured approach.
- Strong ability to work in a matrix, multi-site, and international organization.
- Fluent English and French.
