Job Title: Automation Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Automation Specialist to join our team at McCain Foods. As an Automation Specialist, you will design and implement automated systems that meet the needs of our manufacturing organization.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and implement automated systems that meet the needs of the manufacturing organization, aligning with our CE Analytics roadmap and Global Digital Manufacturing strategy.
  • Manage the implementation and calibration of new sensors on the line, in coordination with our plants.
  • Connect data generated by the line to a central system in a structured way, enabling Advanced Analytics use cases prioritized by the Data Translator CE.
  • Animate the community of plant automation managers, providing recommendations on sensors, potential updates or upgrades, and ensuring harmonized practices.
  • Share best-practices related to sensor usage across sites.
  • Stay up-to-date with new technology developments linked to automation, sensors, and data collection.
  • Train staff on how to use the new systems and sensors in the manufacturing plant.
Requirements:
  • Engineering background.
  • First experience in data analysis.
  • Project management skills.
