We're seeking a highly skilled Technical Support Specialist to join our Brilliant Computers team in Rennes, Spain. As a key member of our team, you'll be responsible for providing top-notch technical support for our clients, ensuring their computer hardware and networking needs are met with excellence.



Job Summary



We're looking for a talented individual with expertise in computer hardware systems, chip sets, memory modules, and peripherals. Your advanced knowledge of popular operating systems, software applications, and remote connection systems will be essential in troubleshooting issues and resolving network cabling problems. You'll work closely with our clients and management team to ensure seamless communication and effective support.



Key Responsibilities



As a Technical Support Specialist, you'll be responsible for:




  • Installing and troubleshooting desktops, printers, laptops, and other computer peripherals hardware problems, as well as desktop applications.
  • Performing smart hand activities under instruction-based activities at sites and from Remote Team.
  • Lifting and moving computer equipment weighing up to 50Lbs.
  • Providing expert desk-side support and PC break/fix, including basic administration of Windows O/S and MAC OS.
  • Usage knowledge of TCP/IP networking, DNS, DHCP, VPN, and RDP.
  • Smart hand support for peripheral and networking hardware, including monitors, keyboards, mice, printers, fax machines, scanners, routers, wireless routers, switches, firewalls, racks, cabinets, multi-port data termination panels.


Requirements



To be successful in this role, you'll need:




  • Excellent written and oral communications skills with clients and management.
  • Ability to work with deadlines and complete tasks on time, taking proactive ownership and working with a sense of urgency.
  • Bilingual (English & Local B2).

We offer a competitive salary of €35,000 - €45,000 per year, depending on experience, and a range of benefits, including:

Experience



A minimum of 2 years' experience in a similar role is required. Experience of ticketing tools (ServiceNow / Remedy etc.) is an additional advantage.



Location



This role is based in Rennes, Spain, and you'll be required to work on-site at our client's location.
