We are seeking a highly skilled DevOps Engineer to join our team at Amadeus. As a key member of our infrastructure team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our cloud-based platform, providing exceptional service to our customers.
Key Responsibilities- Support High Availability: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure ultra-high availability of our cloud-based platform.
- Application Deployments: Support application deployments, building new systems, upgrading and patching existing ones.
- Automation Development: Develop automation to quickly and rapidly deploy instances from blue-printed applications or golden images.
- Monitoring and Troubleshooting: Develop and use monitoring tools to find problems, resolve and/or escalate to development and ensure that we exceed our SLAs.
- Environment Management: Build and manage development and testing environments, assisting developers in debugging application issues using tools.
- Tool Development: Participate in the building of tools and processes to support the infrastructure.
- Scripting and Automation: Leverage scripting to build required automation and tools on an ad-hoc basis.
- Platform Operation: Operate the platform within our security and privacy guidelines.
- Learning and Development: Learn on the job and explore new technologies with little supervision.
- Technical Expertise: Excellent understanding of Software Engineering methodologies and development cycle (Open-Source development), including Version Control systems (GIT and SubVersion) as well as Continuous Integration and testing methods (Jenkins).
- Cloud Computing: Strong knowledge on Service Oriented Architecture design patterns, Cloud concepts and Cloud computing and related ecosystems (Cloud Stack, OpenStack, AWS API, Azure, OpenShift/Kubernetes etc...).
- Programming Skills: Good knowledge in Linux operating system administration (RHEL or SLES), Linux Containers deployment technologies (Docker or LXC), and programming languages (C, C++, Java, Shell, Perl, GO or Python).
- Monitoring and Security: Understanding of monitoring tools and concepts (Kibana, ElasticSearch), especially Grafana, and security information and event management technologies.
- Agile Methodologies: Good exposure to Agile methodologies is a plus.
- Education and Experience: University degree in Computer Sciences, Software Engineering or equivalent work experience, and minimum 3-5 years in systems administration/Software Engineering/DevOps, networking in a large environment.
