Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-driven Procurement Specialist to manage the procurement process for all hotel supplies, ensuring top-quality products and cost-efficiency. This role supports strategic purchasing activities and vendor management while ensuring the timely delivery of goods and services.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Oversee and participate in inventory stocktakes for hotel stores and outlets, ensuring accurate data and stock control.
  2. Manage all purchase orders for food, beverage, general goods, and other required supplies.
  3. Analyze demand, supply, and pricing trends to maintain a strong knowledge of products and achieve cost-efficient purchasing.
  4. Adhere to and enforce the hotel's established purchasing policies and procedures.
  5. Identify, evaluate, and negotiate with suppliers to secure the best prices and quality.
  6. Maintain strong relationships with suppliers and address any supply chain issues.
  7. Conduct regular reviews of supplier performance and analyze product categories, including seafood, fruit, and vegetables, to ensure cost competitiveness.
  8. Support themed events and wine promotions by collaborating with hotel outlets.
  9. Maintain up-to-date costing for all wine lists and ensure quoted prices and supplier codes are accurate within the hotel's purchasing system.
  10. Prepare end-of-month schedules for stocktakes and generate reports for general stores and inventory analysis.
  11. Follow up on any purchasing queries and assist with the sourcing of non-inventory and CAPEX items.
Requirements
  1. Previous experience in purchasing or procurement, preferably within the hospitality industry.
  2. Strong attention to detail, with the ability to conduct thorough inventory and supplier analysis.
  3. Excellent communication and negotiation skills to build and maintain effective supplier relationships.
  4. Familiarity with purchasing systems and procedures, with a focus on efficiency and cost management.
  5. A proactive, problem-solving attitude and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
