Research Scientist in Analytical Chemistry

We are seeking a highly skilled Research Engineer in Analytical Chemistry to join our team at IMT Mines Alès. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing laboratory methods for sampling and analyzing hazardous substances using GC-MS.
Responsibilities- Conduct a comprehensive review of the literature on the subject.
- Develop a laboratory method for sampling and analyzing hazardous substances using GC-MS, with the goal of transposing it to a portable GC-MS for deployment on materials sorting and recycling platforms.
- Interpret and format the results, drafting progress reports and contributing to project reports.
- Promote the results through publications in international scientific journals and presentations at conferences.
The ideal candidate will have experience in the analysis of organic compounds using chromatographic techniques, with a strong background in GC-MS and sample preparation techniques. A PhD in analytical chemistry is highly recommended.
