We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Application Engineer to join our team at Ansys. This is an exceptional opportunity to leverage your expertise in engineering software and drive innovation that impacts industries across the globe.

About the Role

This key position will be responsible for leading technical activities throughout the sales process, collaborating with customers to understand their needs, and creating simulation solutions to streamline workflows and support software sales. You will interact with senior business managers and C-level executives, facilitate webinars and presentations, and participate in internal corporate initiatives to enhance solution suites and professional growth.

Responsibilities
  • Coordinate and execute all technical activities throughout the sales opportunity, including customer meetings, product presentations, demonstrations, and evaluations.
  • Analyze technical needs, requirements, and state of a customer's current infrastructure, operations, and engineering workflows.
  • Create and demonstrate simulation solutions to streamline customer workflows in support of the software sales process.
  • Interact with customers to help diagnose issues, research and find solutions to complex problems, and improve customers' productivity and satisfaction with ANSYS products.
  • Possess a sense of urgency, strong organizational, and follow-up skills to deliver outstanding results.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical engineering or other technical discipline.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in an engineering software environment or as an engineer in the industry.
  • Demonstrated use of relevant software or knowledge of commercial CAE, CAD software packages for structural analysis.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to facilitate and conduct webinars and presentations to customers.
  • Ability to interact effectively with senior business managers and C-level executives.
  • Fluent in English and French, plus at least one more European language.
Preferred Qualifications
  • MS or PhD degree.
  • Ability to travel up to 30%.

About the Salary

The estimated annual salary for this role is $120,000-$180,000 based on industry standards and location. Please note that the actual compensation package may vary depending on factors such as experience, qualifications, and performance.
