SCALINX is on the lookout for a skilled and innovative digital circuit designer to take on a leadership role within our design team. The selected candidate will play a pivotal role in defining and implementing chip/block level architectures. This position involves driving technical aspects of digital work-packages to produce cutting-edge Integrated Circuits (ICs) utilizing advanced deep submicron CMOS technology.
Responsibilities
- Oversee and facilitate digital design work-packages from RTL to GDSII.
- Collaborate closely with other project technical leaders to establish the IC architecture and verification methodologies.
- Engage in discussions with clients regarding product architecture and specification development.
- Lead the architectural definition of the digital components under your purview.
- Work in tandem with the digital front-end and back-end teams to optimize specifications for IC digital sub-blocks, focusing on area and power efficiency.
- Partner with the back-end team to devise a floorplan strategy that adheres to stringent timing requirements.
- Contribute to the design and verification methodologies at both chip and sub-block levels.
- Develop and implement testing strategies for the digital components you oversee.
- Participate in the evaluation of fabricated ICs in our measurement laboratory.
- Collaborate with the team to successfully design state-of-the-art ICs.
- Facilitate design reviews.
- Prepare documentation in compliance with company quality assurance policies.
Qualifications and Experience
- MSc or PhD in Electrical Engineering or a related field, with over 10 years of practical experience in chip-level and circuit-level architecture definition, RTL design, and verification.
- Strong foundation in digital electronics and signal processing.
- Comprehensive understanding of the entire digital IC design flow from RTL to GDSII.
- Proven experience in a digital IC project and technical leadership role.
- Experience in designing high-speed digital signal processing blocks with multi-power and multi-clock domain constraints.
- Proficient in digital hardware description languages (VHDL or Verilog), System Verilog, and scripting languages (TCL, Perl, Python).
- Creative and proactive mindset.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Previous experience in designing and verifying digital functions for Mixed-Signal ICs, such as A/D Converters, D/A Converters, and/or RF transceivers, is advantageous.
- Familiarity with Cadence or Synopsys RTL design flows is a plus.
- Team-oriented with a critical mindset and a strong sense of initiative.
- Fluent communication skills in English, both written and oral.
