About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Analytics Engineer to join our data science team at Fabulous. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining our analytics pipelines using modern data stack tools and cloud-based data warehouses.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and develop data models and analytics pipelines using SQL and dbt
  • Collaborate with the head of Data & Analytics to improve and enrich our data models and analytics pipelines
  • Contribute to the team's evolution and continuous growth by owning and managing projects and stakeholders
  • Speak up and contribute proactively to improving the team's practices and documentation
  • Mentor junior members and share knowledge within the team

Requirements

  • University degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or Applied Mathematics
  • Minimum 4 years of experience in Data or Analytics Engineering
  • Excellent hands-on skills in data modeling
  • Excellent SQL skills (dbt experience a plus)
  • Excellent engineering skills (testing, clean coding, peer-reviewing, CD/CI, git workflows, agile workflows)
  • Previous experience working with modern data stack tools and cloud-based data warehouses (BQ, Snowflake, Redshift)
  • Sound business acumen to manage own projects and stakeholders
  • Self-starter with ability to work autonomously
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills (English)
  • Comfortable in a remote work environment

Good to Have

  • Prior experience with some of the tools we use in our Data-Stack (Amplitude, dbt, BigQuery, Metabase)
  • Good analytical and statistical intuition
  • Hands-on data analysis skills
  • Prior experience managing modern dbt data pipelines
  • Prior experience in an agile start-up environment
