Job Summary

La Vie au Grand Air | Priorité Enfance is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Specialized Educator to join our team. As a Specialized Educator, you will be responsible for providing exceptional care and support to 6 children and adolescents with multiple needs in a daily basis.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement personalized projects for each child, taking into account their unique needs and abilities.
  • Organize and lead daily activities, including leisure time and overnight stays, to promote socialization, learning, and personal growth.
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with the children's families, healthcare providers, and other relevant stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with the team to ensure a smooth and efficient daily routine, including meal times, homework, and personal care.
  • Monitor and report on the children's progress, identifying areas of strength and weakness, and making recommendations for improvement.
  • Participate in training and professional development opportunities to enhance your skills and knowledge in specialized education.

Requirements

  • Degree in Specialized Education or related field.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience working with children and adolescents with multiple needs.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with children, families, and colleagues.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a high level of flexibility and adaptability.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities.
  • Fluency in French and English, with the ability to communicate effectively with children, families, and colleagues.

Working Conditions

  • Full-time position, with a minimum of 3 nights per week and 1 weekend per 2 weeks.
  • Per diem allowance for meals and incidentals.
