The Commissioning Fire & Gas Superintendent is responsible for overseeing the construction scope of work related to their discipline, ensuring compliance with project Health, Safety, Security, and Environment (HSSE), Quality, and schedule requirements as defined in the construction execution plan (CEP).
- Manage a team of supervisors and interface with quality verification inspectors for their discipline.
- Provide leadership to ensure that the HSSE plan is understood and implemented by supervisors assigned to their discipline.
The Commissioning Fire & Gas Superintendent is accountable for:
- Ensuring supervisors and inspectors assigned to their discipline are familiar with SBM Construction and Completions processes and that roles and responsibilities are understood.
- Monitoring yard productivity and manpower assignment to ensure construction schedule milestones are met.
- Ensuring yard construction procedures related to their discipline are reviewed and approved.
- Ensuring the Inspections and Test Plan (ITP) is followed and attended by their team.
- Ensuring all quality verification documentation is duly reviewed and approved.
- Ensuring that manufacturing data records (MDR) are maintained, approved, and compiled on a systematic basis.
- Maintaining up-to-date as-built dossier.
- Ensuring discipline inspection test reports (ITR-A's and associated punch list) are compiled and issued by the yard and approved and logged into the completion database.
- Interfacing with supply chain to ensure required on-site (ROS) for materials are respected.
- Assisting material controller in performing receiving inspections of materials and equipment related to their discipline.
The ideal candidate should have:
- A bachelor's or college degree in a relevant discipline.
- Minimum 15 years' experience in the oil and gas industry, with a proven track record in handling industrial automation projects engineering as a technical lead.
- Familiarity with working across engineering disciplines in an engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) environment to erect and build floating production, storage, and offloading (FPSO) modules.
- Experience in structure fabrication, assembly, and erection.
- Qualification in welding.
- Qualification in non-destructive examination (NDE).
- Working knowledge in rigging and heavy lifting.
- Working knowledge of quality management processes.
- Working knowledge in blasting and painting.
- Understanding of regulatory and classification society requirements for FPSO modules construction.
