Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Embedded Software Development Lead to join our team at Netatmo.

About the Role

As an Embedded Software Development Lead, you will be responsible for managing a team of 3 embedded engineers and helping to achieve project goals through effective team management and optimization.

You will work closely with other R&D teams, including Electronics, Cloud, Mobile Applications, Security, Industrialization, and Quality, to ensure seamless collaboration and communication.

Your main responsibilities will include:

  • Managing a team of embedded engineers and providing guidance and support to ensure project success.
  • Helping to steer debates and make quick decisions, while communicating important team changes to the relevant audience.
  • Coaching, mentoring, and developing engineers on your team, providing consistent feedback and support.
  • Working with other team leads to identify and implement improvements to our processes and systems.
Key Responsibilities

As an Embedded Software Development Lead, you will be responsible for:

  • Conceiving and delivering embedded software for various products, including battery-powered devices and general-purpose microcontrollers.
  • Working with other teams to develop and implement communication protocols, such as Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and TCP/IP.
  • Defining and implementing testing strategies for embedded software.
  • Collaborating with product managers and other R&D teams to ensure project success.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A degree in Engineering or equivalent.
  • Excellent knowledge of C programming language.
  • Good knowledge of electronics and low-level embedded software.
  • Familiarity with communication protocols from the IoT industry.
  • Experience with git version control.
  • At least 4/5 years of experience in embedded software development.
