Role OverviewWe are seeking a dynamic leader to oversee the quality assurance process for our mobile applications. This role involves guiding a team in executing comprehensive testing strategies on pre-release software to identify and document any defects. The successful candidate will report directly to the QA Manager.
Key Responsibilities- Direct all facets of product quality: manage the testing phases for each project; ensure that every project undergoes thorough testing cycles before final release milestones.
- Create and maintain test plans and documentation. Verify that all reported bugs are accurately resolved.
- Monitor project progress: evaluate team capabilities, workload, and timelines to provide regular updates and documentation to QA Management and Development teams.
- Lead the mobile testing team: recruit, train, assess performance, and, when necessary, implement disciplinary actions; establish work schedules and mentor team leaders in task distribution.
- Produce essential testing documentation, including daily and weekly reports, test cases, bug tracking reports, and final release certification documentation.
- Collaborate with Producers and Developers: facilitate bug triage sessions and provide necessary documentation. Lead discussions on bug status and prioritize issues to ensure timely resolutions.
- Proficient in written and verbal communication in English.
- Advanced skills in MS Office, Google Suite, and Outlook.
- Strong database management skills (e.g., Jira, Helix).
- Excellent time management abilities.
- Ability to serve as a positive role model for the QA team.
- Creative problem-solving skills with a flexible and empathetic approach.
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- A minimum of 4 years of experience in quality assurance testing, preferably in mobile applications.
- Experience in team leadership and development.
- In-depth knowledge of testing cycles and methodologies for mobile applications.
- Bilingual or native proficiency in English, both written and spoken (C1 or higher).
- Familiarity with submitting applications to major app stores is a plus.
